GOYGOL PROJECT
GOYGOL PROJECT
Baku Maintenance Service is carrying out large-scale improvement and restoration works in the Goygol district.
According to the Service’s employee, Israfil Farajullayev, the exterior walls of residential houses located along the road from Ganja to the village of Toghanalı including the settlements of Qizilgaya and Hajıkend, as well as the villages of Ashiqli and Yeni Zod are being repaired; old roofs are being replaced; and doors and windows are being restored. The doors are being painted, fences are being tidied, paving stones are laid at the entrances of household plots, curbstones are renewed, and cleaning works are carried out in green areas.
Special attention is also paid to decorative elements as part of the improvement works. Benches and swings are installed in front of homes for residents’ comfort, and small garden plots surrounded by wooden fences are organized. Old metal fences are replaced with modern wooden ones. In areas where shops and gathering spots are located, tables, chairs, and benches are installed.
Wooden kiosks and shelves are being prepared for street vendors. Following the concept used in European countries, customers will be able to take products directly from the shelves without a seller and make payments using a special system.
Since the renovated area is located in a forest zone, birdhouses have also been installed. Concrete surfaces along the roadside have been painted, plants have been pruned, and new ones planted. The planting of decorative flowers and plants in front of doors and windows enhances the aesthetic appearance of the area.
Sidewalks and asphalt surfaces are being renewed for the convenience of residents and tourists, and bus stops are being replaced with modern ones.
Lighting poles and decorative wall sconces are being installed along the road and on exterior walls.
Vibrant colors are preferred in the repair and restoration process, and exterior walls and other structures are adorned with decorative elements. Special wooden coops are also being prepared for residents engaged in agriculture to keep chickens.
In the future, various festivals and fairs, as well as initiatives to promote the local cuisine, are planned in order to attract local and foreign tourists to Goygol.
The improvement works in Goygol serve to enhance residents’ comfort, renew living spaces, form an aesthetic environment, and strengthen the region’s tourism potential.
